About

Solidarity Stories reflects a collection of writing inspired by a keen interest in social justice issues in Korea. Started by a group of expats, adoptees and Korean Americans, it serves as a resource to easily interpret the historical contexts within which these experiences are situated in order to facilitate a richer, more nuanced understanding of social justice issues in Korea. The goal of this blog is to connect English speakers around the world with social activism in Korea.
Much of the writing on this blog has been facilitated by educational outings organized by the International Strategy Center. The ISC organizes monthly Open Lecture Events for foreigners in Korea who wish to learn more about the history, politics and economics behind some of Korea’s social justice issues.
